Letās be honest, when it comes to dogs, we all know the bigger the head, the bigger the heart... and Donut is no exception!
Donut is a three-year-old pitbull who was saved from euthanasia after rapidly losing weight in the shelter. No one could figure out why, he was still eating and full of life. It turns out, stress was the culprit. His body was shutting down from the heartbreak of being overlooked. Thankfully, a kind woman and her family stepped in just in time and gave Donut a soft place to land.

Nowadays?! Heās thriving.
Living with kids? Check.
Chilling with a cat? Yep.
Playing with other dogs? Itās his favorite thing in the world.
Heās the total package! Goofy, social, snuggly, and so ready for a forever home. Heās got the energy of a young pup, the loyalty of a seasoned companion, and the personality of a comedian.
Speaking of personality⦠Donut talks. No, seriously. He has his very own language thatās somewhere between a squawk, a grumble, and a full-on conversation. Heās not shy about using it when he wants attention or has something very important to say (which is often).
Heās playful, affectionate, loves treats, and after a sunny hot boy walk, his pink skin turns a little red, just like a sunburned toddler. It's both adorable and a reminder to keep the water bowl full.
Donut still needs one thing: a forever home.
Heās safe for now, but heās ready for a permanent place where he can run, talk, play, and finally exhale.
